Standard builder cylinders (Kwikset, Weiser) can be picked or bumped in under a minute by someone who knows how. High-security cylinders (Medeco Maxum, Mul-T-Lock MT5+, Abloy Protec2) use patented keyways, hardened pins and side-bar pin tumblers that resist picking, bumping and drilling. Keys can only be cut at a registered dealer on signed authorization.
The weak point on most front doors isn't the lock — it's the strike plate held to soft jamb wood with two 3/4" screws. We upgrade to a hardened strike with 3" screws driven into the framing, and add a full-length latch shield (Door Armor or equivalent) when the jamb has already been split by a previous attempt.
We open and service most residential and small commercial safes — Sentry, Honeywell, First Alert, AMSEC and Liberty under 60". For high-end safes (Gardall TL-15+, Diebold) drilling is sometimes required and we coordinate with the manufacturer for replacement parts. Combination changes on dial and digital safes done on-site.
